Rick Morin

Director of Coaching

Rick has been the club's Director of Coaching and Player Development (DOC) since 2007.  Prior to that, he was the Director of Coaching at DVSC 1999-2005.  Rick's coaching experience includes US Club ODP U14 Girls Region IV Head Coach from 2003-2005, the Super Y U14 Head Coach 2003-2006, CYSA State ODP Assistant Coach U16 Boys 1999, CYSA State ODP Assistant Coach U14 Boys 1997, USISL Reno Rattlers Assistant Coach 1995-1996 and the USISL Reno Rattlers Head Coach 1994. 

Rick holds the following licenses: USSF B License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

Rob Terry

Program Director - Girls

Rob Terry graduated from Clayton Valley High School, where he played soccer from 1986-1990. After high school, Rob played at Los Medanos College and at Orange Coast College.  Rob played professionally with the Sacramento Knights, NPISL, with the Division 1A Mexican team, La Piedad, for the Reno Rattlers, USISL, and with the Sons of Italy in San Francisco from 1998-2002.

Rob has over 15 years coaching experience, having worked on staff at Diablo FC/DVSC from 1997-2008 prior to coming to our Club. From 2005 to 2006, he was the Head JV Coach at Carondelet High School.  In 2007, Rob moved up to be a Varsity Assistant Coach for Carondelet where he continues today. Rob has been an Impact Staff Coach since 2009.  He has a NSCAA National License.


Gavin Glinton

Program Director - Boys

Impact Soccer welcomed its first former MLS player to our coaching staff in October, 2012.  Gavin Glinton grew up in Livermore and played for the L.A. Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes and the Turks and Caicos National Team - even spending some time playing soccer professionally abroad.  Gavin coached at his alma mater, Bradley University in Illinois, before settling here in our hometown. Gavin currently holds a USSF B License.

 Coach Noah Delgado

Noah Delgado is brand new to our Impact Club and we are very excited to have him!  Noah is a drafted MLS player (Portland Timbers), a former USISL player (Puerto Rico Islanders) and a former international player who appeared in a World Cup qualification match against Spain.  Noah spent a lot of time coaching youth soccer in the U.S. Territorial island, Puerto Rico before returning to his birthplace of California (Fremont) to bring his expertise and experience to Impact Soccer players.

Coach Tony Martins

Tony has been coaching high school soccer for 18 years; 15 years as head varsity coach at Liberty High School. Tony also coached at Cal State East Bay College for 8 years and has been a coach for the Club for the over 15 years. He won CYSA State Cup with a U18 Girls team, EDYSL Lightning in 2001.  Tony holds a National D License and holds a NCSAA National Diploma.

Coach Gary LaFleur

Gary LaFleur has been an IMPACT Soccer Club coach for over 5 years.  He also just completed a very successful year as Tournament Director, founding 5 Annual Youth Soccer tournaments for both competitive and recreational soccer players.  As a coach, Gary has developed several successful Competitive Premier and Gold IMPACT (U9-U14) teams.  Coach Gary is currently the Head Coach of the Girls JV Soccer Team at Heritage High School, here in Brentwood.  Gary was a national youth player and he holds a NCSAA National-level coaching license.  Gary and his wife, Tanya, have 3 children who are all Competitive Impact Soccer players.

 

Coach Luis Cervantes

Luis has played soccer since 1984; for the professional Mexican league for UNAM (Pumas), UAG (Tecos-Estudiantes), and semi-professional Liga Espanola-Mexico. He also played in San Francisco Liga Latina. Luis has been coaching and volunteering for Liga Latina, O'Hara Park Middle School and Impact Soccer. Most recently, he has been coaching Impact 98 Boys.  Luis currently hold a NSCAA Junior Level Vl Diploma.


Coach Paul McIlvenny

Paul played and coached soccer in the UK prior to coming to the US. He has obtained his National D License and holds a NSCAA National Diploma; coaching with EDYSL since 2000. As of 2009, Paul is also now an ODP Staff Coach.
Coach Mike Krahnke

Mike has been coaching and goalkeeper training in EDYSL/IMPACT for 19 years, the last 13 years coaching competition boys and girls teams.  He currently in finishing as Head Coach of the retiring Boys U18 IMPACT Lightning '93 in the RAL and continues as Head Coach of the Boys U16 IMPACT Force.  Mike has coached at Liberty Union High School District's Liberty High and Heritage High School Soccer Programs in different capacities for 12 years.  He co-founded and still coaches the Bristow Middle School Boys Soccer team, a developmental league for the High School Soccer programs which has grown tremendously.  Mike is a BUSC, and Foothill High School alumni.  Mike holds  USSF F, E, E/D and  CIF Coaching licenses, and a Grade 8 Referee license.

Coach Kristen Bright

Kristen is middle school teacher coming to the area from San Jose, where she was a PE teacher for 15 years.  Kristen attended San Jose State University on an athletic scholarship and was an honor roll soccer player.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in teaching.  She has coached all levels of youth soccer including being a soccer trainer for Central Valley Soccer Club teams, coaching at Saratoga High School, Archbishop Mitty HS, Leigh HS, Santa Clara University soccer camps and San Jose State Soccer camps since 1994. As a youth player herself, Kristen was on the California State ODP team and was a Regional ODP camp member.  Impact is thrilled to have a coach of her experience added to our line of Coaches.
